  • Rattanakosin

Established in 1932, K. Panich has received the Michelin Bib Gourmand recognition for seven consecutive years. The shop is renowned for its sweet sticky rice, made from an original ancestral recipe passed down from the owner’s grandmother, who once worked in the royal kitchen during the reigns of King Rama V and VI. They source their ingredients from various regions across Thailand to ensure the highest quality, including coconuts from Chumphon and sticky rice from Chiang Rai.

431- 433 Tanao Rd, Sao Chingcha, Phra Nakhon. 02-221-3554. Open daily 7am-5pm.

  • Thonglor

It all began with the owner’s grandmother, who sold sticky rice at Phaya Thai market following her own recipe. After the owner’s mother got married, the family moved and opened the mango sticky rice shop in Thonglor in 1987, which is now run by the third-generation. Fresh coconut milk from Surat Thani is prepared daily, and when it comes to mangoes, customers can choose between nam dok mai and ok rong. Mae Varee also offers other Thai desserts including jackfruit seed dessert, golden egg threads and Thai custard.
